I wanted to learn more about technique and information about poses. I enjoyed the classes and getting a great workout, but I wasn’t sure whether or not I was doing the postures correctly, and since the instructors couldn’t provide individual feedback while teaching a room full of people, I knew that I needed something else.

I had already been following his workouts for 4 months on YouTube, but I wanted immediate feedback. It seemed as if he had high regard for his audience and he really wanted to help. I knew I wouldn’t have to travel, and if I wasn’t satisfied that my investment would be minimal.

I spent just over 6 months training with Dean via webcam. At first, I was concerned whether or not he would be able detect improper form and make immediate corrections, but this fear was unfounded. He called out adjustments as soon as he noticed them, and wrote summaries of the workouts along with customized workout plans after the lessons were over. I was also apprehensive about whether or not there would be technical issues, but out of 6 months of classes only one of those classes had to be cancelled. I have progressed in form, depth, understanding, mental pictures, muscle memory, and I even have a better understanding of nutrition.

Having trained via webcam with Dean over the course of a year, I can honestly say that it has been the best personal training curriculum I’ve ever experienced, and I’ve worked with a number of personal trainers. If you are a guy who sees and feels the benefits of yoga but are perhaps feeling that what you’re getting out of the gym and / or your local class isn’t quite cutting it, this is for you. Dean has an uncanny knack for “adjusting” your physical postures, via his expert guided instruction, to ensure that your workouts are tough and really benefit those areas where you need to get stronger. It is well worth the cost and I’ve learned a tremendous amount from him regarding physical alignment, core strength and mobility.

I would also add that if you don’t think you’re prepared for it because you’re not in great shape or don’t do yoga regularly, give it a shot regardless. Dean will work with you where you are. I was not in great condition when we started, and his program was an instrumental part of me being able to improve my core strength significantly, improve my functionality in other sports I enjoy, improve my posture, and drop 20 pounds. Dean is a superstar trainer and the webcam format is something he uses expertly.

How does webcam training work?

Our sessions are done via Google Hangouts on Air. This allows us to see and hear one another in real-time and for our sessions to be recorded.


In the lesson, we’ll cover:

  • your workouts for the week, diet, and sleep habits
  • a workout to reach your goals based on your fitness level
  • exercises to do outside of our lessons
  • how to integrate yoga into your other workouts
  • and anything else relevant to your goals!

At the end, we’ll recap what was covered and discuss a weekly workout plan for you to follow until our next webcam session.

You’ll also receive a detailed report of our lesson, along with a private video recording of the lesson.
