The Be The Better You Retreat from Man Flow Yoga is a total physical and mental reset designed for men ready to break out of the daily grind, to get yourself out of a rut, and get clear on the changes you want to make to live a better, more fulfilling life.
Through a combination of morning yoga, mountain hikes, and thought-provoking presentations, we identify the areas of stress and friction that keep us stuck in old ruts.
You’ll join a group of like-minded men for a life-changing experience that stays with you for years to come, and leave the weekend with a clear plan for your next chapter – and a community of lifelong friends to support the journey.
This time, we’ve chosen a destination for our retreat – join Dean and other men like yourself from the Man Flow Yoga community in beautiful Asheville, North Carolina, along the Blue Ridge Parkway mountains.

We’ll spend our mornings easing out of bed into a morning yoga and mobility session to prep our bodies for the day, followed by a delicious, catered breakfast, a wellness discussion to help us get in touch with our struggles and what’s holding us back, and then head off for a beautiful day hike to the nearby trailhead.
It’s the perfect time of year to see fall foliage and go for a hike – crisp, autumn, air, and beautiful views as far as the eye can see. Throughout our hikes, we will take opportunities for self reflection and conversation. Being in nature is the perfect opportunity to reach a level of clarity and self discovery that is otherwise impossible amidst our day-to-day lives.
After a day hike, we’ll return home to our luxury Retreat for a bit of unstructured downtime – whether that means taking a nap, hanging out on a patio, or talking with the other attendees – it’s the time to decompress that we rarely get; to integrate discussion from the wellness session, and an opportunity to give ourselves the time, space, or connection we need.
Later on, Dean will lead everyone in a series of yoga sessions focused on restoring your body, recovering from the hike, and getting your body ready for the next one. This will also be an opportunity for you to get in-person, hands-on feedback and to make sure that you’re using the modifications appropriate to your flexibility and skill levels.
After that, we’ll into an amazing evening together; a delicious dinner – and once again, no cooking or cleaning – followed by a chance to connect with one another; and an overall opportunity to synthesize the events, reflections, and ponderings of the day, and craft your life for the immediate future and years ahead.
Experience the taste of locally and responsibly sourced meals from our onsite private Chefs. Every meal will be crafted according to dietary needs using organic and fresh ingredients.
Everyday, we’ll challenge our mind and bodies, while building camaraderie through our passion for total wellness.

We kick off the weekend by hitting the reset button, leaving the "old" routine at the door to settle into the mountain air. This evening is about meeting the group and realizing you aren't alone in your journey, as we share our goals for the weekend in a relaxed, low-pressure setting. We’ll start the conversation around where we are today and set the foundation for a weekend of genuine connection with like-minded men.

Friday’s focus is on gaining an honest perspective on our current pace of life through thought-provoking presentations. These sessions are designed to help you identify the specific areas of stress and friction that keep you stuck in a rut. By sharing these experiences with the group, we use the power of the collective to realize that the challenges we face are often universal, making them much easier to navigate and overcome.

Saturday shifts the focus toward the future and the person you want to be, using focused presentations to help you draw out a new path forward. We will work together to identify the habits you want to adjust and start practicing the tools that lead to lasting change. This is the day for personal breakthroughs and realizing the strength that comes from a group of men supporting one another's growth and vision.

Our final morning is dedicated to reflecting on the weekend’s takeaways and preparing for the transition back home. We will focus on building a simple, sustainable plan to ensure the "reset" you experienced here translates into your daily life. We’ll wrap up the weekend by celebrating the new, platonic bonds we’ve built—leaving not just with a plan, but with a community of lifelong friends.

The wellness discussions are the heart of the retreat, offering a dedicated space to step away from your same old way of thinking and gain honest perspective on your current path. These sessions utilize a variety of discussion techniques, visualizations, and small group discussions to help you identify the specific areas of stress and friction that may be keeping you stuck in a rut.
Rather than just logically thinking about self-improvement, these discussions facilitate a deeper integration of your feelings and understandings within a supportive environment. It is a time to explore what is truly missing in your life and to realize that many of the challenges you face are actually universal among other men. By sharing this experience with a group that holds shared values, you can begin to let go of the need to “perform” and instead focus on what is necessary to heal and move forward as your true self
These sessions are where the majority of the real, significant changes of the retreat are facilitated. And while some of this sounds new or unfamiliar, you’ll be surprised at just how easy it is to do within a group of extremely supportive, like-minded men.
