Join Dean and the Man Flow Yoga Community for an action and information-packed weekend in Chicago.

Session 1:

9:00 AM – 10:30 AM

Core Essentials

Kick off the weekend with a focus on your core. We’ll start with foundational breathing techniques and gradually move into dynamic core exercises including bridges and leg lifts, all aimed at strengthening your mid-section for better posture and balance.

Session 2:

11:30 AM – 1:00 PM

Hips Focus

Session two zeroes in on your hips, vital for overall mobility. Through a series of hip-strengthening poses like lunges and Warrior variations, you’ll work on enhancing flexibility and stability in your lower body.

Session 3:

9:00 AM – 10:30 AM

Balance and Stability

The third session shifts to improving your balance with exercises that engage the feet and legs. You’ll practice various balance poses, using props to help master stability and refine your technique.

Session 4:

11:30 AM – 1:00 PM

Shoulders, Upper Body,and Core Reinforcement

Conclude the workshop with an intensive on your upper body and core. Expect to delve into shoulder mobility, upper body stretches, and additional core exercises that link your entire body’s strength seamlessly.

DEAN POHLMAN

Dean Pohlman is an E-RYT 200 certified yoga instructor and the founder of Man Flow Yoga. Dean is widely considered to be an authority on Yoga for Men. He has worked with physical therapists to create yoga programs for back health and spinal recovery. His workouts and programs have been used by professional and collegiate athletes, athletic trainers, and personal trainers; and have been recommended by physical therapists, doctors, chiropractors, and other medical professionals.

The Man Flow Yoga Weekend Workshop is a two-day transformative series of workshops . Join Dean and the MFY community on Saturday and Sunday for a series of empowering yoga sessions and transformative movement.

For the cost of just a couple of private sessions, you get eight hours of expert yoga training focusing on core strength, hip mobility, balance, and upper body. This efficient approach includes personalized coaching that you’d typically need several classes to receive. By joining this weekend workshop, you’re not only saving money but also getting direct, practical guidance to quickly boost your skills.

The weekend workshop is priced at $297. This includes access to all four sessions.

Both events are unique settings for helping members of Man Flow Yoga to advance in their practice. The weekend workshop, however, is a chance to take a quick weekend to get inspired and build new positive habits and relationships, while still getting hands-on help from our team!

There are several lots and garages in the immediate area. You can generally find the best rates using an app like SpotHero. (Otherwise, the standard rates are around $10/hour) You may find it easier to use a rideshare app.

Our first session begins at 9am. Plan to arrive with enough time before to get checked in and set up.

Summer weather in Chicago can vary anywhere from 65-85 degrees F. Keep an eye on the weather before you pack.

We suggest wearing anything you feel comfortable doing yoga in. For some, this might look like yoga pants and t-shirts. For others, it’s casual everyday clothes. Whatever makes you comfortable and is flexible enough to train in. You’ll likely break a sweat, so be prepared for that!

No equipment will be provided. You will need to bring your own equipment to this event. You’ll need workout apparel, a Yoga mat, 2 blocks, and a strap. It’s up to you if you’d like to bring a knee pad. Bring water and a snack for breaks between workshops!

You can expect two dedicated yoga sessions per day, along with group discussions and time to break and rest. These sessions will be focused on growing in your practice, learning new techniques, and guiding you through good form and mobility.
