The Man Flow Yoga Weekend Workshop is the perfect opportunity to jumpstart or dramatically improve your yoga practice and journey towards total wellness. You’ll experience two workshops per day. Go at your own pace!

Lesson 1: Technique Workshop – Hips and Core

This session focuses on improving technique in hip and core based postures that commonly give guys trouble. We’ll break down alignment, positioning, and engagement so you understand exactly what you should be feeling and how to adjust in real time. The goal is to clean up your form, improve stability, and build a stronger foundation in the areas that matter most for strength and mobility.

11:00 AM - 12:30 PM

Group Discussion: Addressing Your Fitness Challenges & Finding Breakthroughs

You’re putting in the work, but sometimes it’s not effort that’s holding you back. It’s the mental roadblocks and old assumptions shaping your decisions. In this session, we’ll use guided discussion in a supportive group setting to help you identify where you’re limiting yourself, challenge those patterns, and take the next step forward. We’ve used this in previous wellness weekends, and it has been extremely helpful!

Lesson 2: Strength and Mobility Session

This lesson is centered on building strength while improving mobility in key areas like the hips, core, and upper body. You’ll work through controlled, progressive movements designed to reinforce proper technique while increasing strength and range of motion. This session will be more physically demanding, but still structured and intentional so you can push safely and effectively.

Lesson 3: Technique Workshop – Shoulders and Core

This workshop shifts the focus to upper body mechanics, specifically shoulders and core integration. Many men struggle with shoulder positioning, stability, and proper engagement in pushing and supporting postures. We’ll refine your technique, address common compensations, and help you move more efficiently and safely through challenging poses.

Discussion: Breaking Through Self-Imposed Limitations & Moving Forward

This session repeats the community, discussion-focused environment we used in Day 1’s discussion section to help you work through whatever is currently holding you back. But instead of limiting the topic to just fitness, we’ll expand the topic to go wherever in life you may be experiencing challenges or changes.We use specific discussion prompts and conversation in a supportive group environment to help you get honest with yourself about how you’re holding yourself back, work through those self-imposed limitations, and create a new plan and a new mindset for moving forward!

Lesson 4: Flexibility and Recovery Session

The final lesson focuses on flexibility and recovery for both upper and lower body. This is where we slow things down, improve tissue quality, and restore movement after the more intense sessions. You’ll learn how to recover properly, improve flexibility without overstretching, and support long term progress by balancing effort with restoration.

Wrap-Up & Final Thoughts

Lunch will be provided on both days of the event, so you don’t have to worry about leaving to find food or planning ahead. This gives you time to relax, refuel, and continue conversations with other members of the Man Flow Yoga community. Meals will be balanced and nourishing to support your training, recovery, and overall wellness. It’s built into the schedule so you can stay focused on the experience, connect with the group, and make the most of your weekend. We’ll send out a menu ahead of time so you can choose a dish that works for you, and we’ll be able to handle most dietary restrictions (paleo, vegan, etc).

Dean Pohlman is an E-RYT 200 certified yoga instructor and the founder of Man Flow Yoga. Dean is widely considered to be an authority on Yoga for Men. He has worked with physical therapists to create yoga programs for back health and spinal recovery. His workouts and programs have been used by professional and collegiate athletes, athletic trainers, and personal trainers; and have been recommended by physical therapists, doctors, chiropractors, and other medical professionals.

Frequently Asked Questions

YES! The primary goal of this weekend is to improve your technique with in-person instruction and feedback. We have a wide range of attendees for these events. Some have not ever done yoga, some haven’t done it for years. But what unites us is the desire to get better. I promise you will feel safe and accepted, whatever your yoga or fitness level.

Parking is available at nearby parking lot.

All vehicles are required to register upon arrival. Once registered, guests receive up to two (2) hours of complimentary parking.After the initial two hours, parking rates are as follows:

  • $5 for an additional 3–5 hours
  • $10 for all-day parking

The event itself will take place between the hours of 9 and 4 on Saturday and Sunday. Anything outside of this is not formally planned. However, in the past, the group has often done meetups on Friday evening, and the evenings following the event days. You are welcome to join any informal meets-up, which usually are planned in group chat spaces

November weather in Atlanta typically ranges from about 50 to 70 degrees F, but it can fluctuate. Be sure to check the forecast before you pack so you’re prepared for cooler mornings or warmer afternoons.

We suggest wearing anything you feel comfortable doing yoga in. For some, this might look like yoga pants and t-shirts. For others, it’s casual everyday clothes. Whatever makes you comfortable and is flexible enough to train in. You’ll likely break a sweat, so be prepared for that!

Yoga equipment will not be provided. Be sure to bring your super cool Man Flow Yoga cork yoga mat and blocks, straps, and bolsters if you have them.

You will be able to leave your equipment overnight.

There are no official events outside of the schedule, but we will help connect you with other attendees prior to the event, and anybody who wants to will be able to attend off-site group events for dinners or breakfasts.

There are plenty of hotels in the area, all just a short Uber or Lyft ride from the studio.

If you are flying in, We recommend renting a car or using Uber or Lyft.

 You’ll take part in four structured sessions designed to improve your technique and help you move with more strength and control. These include targeted workshops for the hips, core, and shoulders, a progressive strength and mobility session, and a focused flexibility and recovery session to support long term progress.

You’ll also participate in guided group discussions aimed at identifying fitness roadblocks, breaking through self imposed limitations, and creating a clearer plan moving forward.

We are always planning events, but due to Dean being a husband and a father of two small kids, travel options are often limited.
