The Fix Series

Our NEW Yoga Program: The Fix Series – Immersive Practices to Build Strength, Flexibility, Body Awareness, & Improve Technique

I’m excited to announce the release of my latest yoga workout program: The Fix.

The Fix Series is a program composed of 6 longer yoga workouts designed to help you get your yoga “fix”. There’s no rushing in this program – it’s all about holding the postures for extended durations, to help your body work deeper into the postures, build more strength & endurance, more body awareness, and to give your body the time it needs to work out the kinks.

It’s an immersive workout that keeps you engaged from start to finish, and leaves you feeling fantastic afterward.

What Should I Expect from The Workouts?

The 50-60 minute yoga workouts emphasize slow, controlled movements, extended holds, and deep, controlled breathing. This builds strength while giving your body the time it needs to work deeper into the pose, increasing your flexibility, body awareness, and getting rid of stiffness. Every time you do one of these workouts you’re killing two birds with one stone by (1) helping your body get rid of joint soreness and achiness and (2) actually building strength and flexibility.

The routine flows slowly, giving you plenty of time to hold the postures for long enough to check in with your body, improve your technique, and increase your mind/body/breath awareness. These workouts are stress-relieving, immersive, and just challenging enough to leave you feeling satisfied, but not totally drained.

Is “Yoga Fix” Beginner Friendly?

This is an intermediate program, but would still be considered beginner-friendly if you’re already in pretty good shape. There’s a moderate amount of instruction with sufficient guidance on proper technique, but not as much as a tutorial-focused program. So, if you’re an absolute bare-bones beginner, this program might not be for you.

How Often Should I Workout?

You should aim to complete anywhere from 2-6 workouts per week. However, avoid “stacking” these with other workouts, meaning you shouldn’t do these immediately before or after another workout.

If you want to pair workouts with a Fix workout, make sure to space the workouts apart by several hours. (i.e. Do the Fix workout in the morning, and your other workout in the afternoon or evening, or vise versa.)

Note from Dean: If it were me following this program, I would do these workouts 2-3x per week. Though you’re welcome to do up to 6 or even 7 workouts per week, I’d recommend you use that time to pursue other forms of fitness instead, namely resistance training, cardio, swimming, running, or any other type of fitness you enjoy (especially if your goal is to improve overall physical fitness & body composition).

I recommend repeating this program for a total of 4-8 cycles before moving on to another program, but you’re welcome to use these programs for even longer if they’re working well for you!

Final Thoughts

What I want you to get out of “Yoga Fix” is a solid stand-alone program that hits all your yoga needs (building strength, body awareness, flexibility, and even balance), but still leaves you feeling good to pursue other forms of fitness.

These 50-60 minute yoga workouts do exactly that, so workout and feel good!
